Reinstalling Supporting Software


My game crashes and so far I have been unable to find the reason. What could I try to resolve the issue? 


If your game crashes surprisingly for no discernable reason, you can try to reinstall supporting software such as the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package

This is easy to do because the necessary software is already included in your game installation folder. Here are the detailed steps: 
- First, simply navigate to the directory in which your game is installed. If you installed Uplay PC in the default location, it is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\[The game that is crashing]\Support

- The support folder should contain another folder called Software. Open this folder.

- Inside, you will find installer packages for the supporting software your game requires. It will also include a Uplay installer, please ignore this one. 
- Please reinstall the other software contained in that folder. You may be prompted that you already have newer versions installed - in that case, cancel the installation and move on to the next. 

After the installation is finished, please restart your PC and test the game again. If the problem should persist, feel free to contact us!
