How can I solve connectivity issues and multiplayer problems in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for PC?

If you are receiving any multiplayer connection issues, or are having trouble connecting to a multiplayer game please try the following:

1. Start by updating any anti-virus or personal firewall software that may be installed to your computer system. This includes your windows firewall as well as updating the firmware for your home router. If updating these programs does not resolve the issue, you may need to temporarily shut-down the associated program or bypass the router and establish a direct connection to your modem.

2. If it is not possible to shut-down your firewall, you will need to allow the following ports for the best possible connection. Directions for configuring network ports are specific to the software and hardware being used, and can be found by visiting the manufacturers website.
 

 ACBMP.exe [UDP & TCP] 12000
 ACBMP.exe [UDP & TCP] 7917
 ACBMP.exe [UDP & TCP] 55674
 ACBMP.exe [UDP & TCP] 12001
 ACBMP.exe [UDP & TCP] 9100
 PnkBstrA.exe [UDP & TCP] 44301
 PnkBstrB.exe [UDP & TCP] 45301
 UPlayBrowser.exe [UDP & TCP] 49928

Allow the game through your Network:

This is the path on Windows 7:

 

  1. Windows Control Panel/
  2. Network and Internet/
  3. View Network Computers Devices/
  4. Right click on your Router's Icon and choose Properties
  5. Select Settings
  6. Add all ports mentioned above.


This is the path on Windows XP:

  1. Control Panel>
  2. Network Connections>
  3. Internet Connection>
  4. (Right click) Properties> Settings
  5. Add all ports mentioned above.

 

In case you receive an error message, follow the instructions below:

Follow this path in Windows Explorer: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, delete the hosts file and try the game again.
