Missing Save Data

QUESTION:

The save files are not available on the Load screen, and the Continue button does not work from the main menu. How do I fix this?

RÉPONSE:


In order to resolve a save-data corruption, please use the following steps:

1. Navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft (or whichever directory you installed the game)

2. Right-click on the Might & Magic X Legacy folder and choose Restore previous versions.

3. Windows should display previous versions of the folder with time stamps for you to choose from. Choose a previous version of the folder that you know worked and right click on it and choose Copy.

4. Right click and Paste the copied backup folder of Might & Magic X Legacy in the folder where the current folder version of the folder is located and agree to overwrite it.

5. Navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[USER ID]

6. Right click on the 401 folder (or 403 for Steam users) and choose Restore previous versions.

7. Choose a previous folder version of the save folder that you know worked and right click on it and choose Copy.

6. Right click and Paste the copied backup 401 or 403 save folder in the:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[USER ID]

7. Agree to overwrite the current version of the folder.

7. Launch Uplay, log in, and click on the Options button (gear shaped icon in the upper right), click on Settings and UN-CHECK the Enable cloud save synchronization for supported games option before attempting to launch the game.
