Photo mode in Far Cry 5

QUESTION:

How does the Photo Mode work? Where are my pictures being saved?

ANSWER:

The Photo Mode in Far Cry 5 allows you to capture shots of beautiful views or interesting moments in-game in quality pictures with additional control over camera position and settings.

The mode is activated from game pause menu.

When the mode is active, the game is paused and switches to third person view. You can move and rotate the camera in the area around your character to find the perfect shooting angle. Settings such as time of the day, hiding characters or adjusting field of view allow to set up the best scene. Additionally, you can apply various filters, frames, logos and customise the facial expression of your character!

For Playstation 4 and Xbox One, you can use console build-in functions to save and share screenshots (you can hide the photo mode interface before taking the picture).

On PC, press Space to make a screenshot while in Photo Mode. The save locations is:
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 5\Screenshots

The Photo Mode is available for the solo campaign, Arcade solo maps and the DLCs. Within those game modes, there are some specific situations or locations in which you will not be able to use the Photo Mode:
During the start sequence and initial gameplay
During the climbing onto a ledge animation
During a QTE with a crocodile in DLC Vietnam
During a QTE where you are being “pounced” on by an animal
During the animation for entering and exiting vehicles
During the animation for equipping or removing binoculars
During weapon reload animation
Immediately after closing an Intel Letter
While picking up, dropping or carrying a dead body
When activating the bomber view in an airplane
