Suspicious activity email notifications

QUESTION:

Why have I received an email mentioning suspicious activity on my account?

ANSWER:

Keeping your account safe is a top priority for us and something we take very seriously.

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect accounts, we may send you an email to verify that it is you whenever we detect any unusual activity or think your account may be at risk.

If you performed the activity on the account, you will not need to worry!

If you did not perform these activities, we recommend to take steps to ensure your account is secure:

Changing your password
To start, you should consider changing your password

Securing your account with 2SV
Another is enabling 2 Step-Verification.
This optional feature will ask you to provide a unique code each time you try to access your account.
This can come in a few forms from an e-mail to text messages or an authenticator app for your smartphone.

Ubisoft accounts can be secured with 2 Step-Verification using a mobile authenticator app or emails.

This means that, should someone ever manage to get hold of your account information and try to access your account with it, they will be asked for this code as well and without access to your verification method, they won't be able to receive the code.

Changing your email
If you have reason to believe that your email address has also been compromised, we recommend changing it

You can check your account's login history on the Account Management website in the Security Settings tab.
